Career Development Facilitator Training offered through CCC
Clackamas Community College is offering the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) training in fall and winter term. The CDF is designed for individuals who are working in the field of career development and/or career advancement. This certificate can also serve as a step toward earning a Global Career Devleopment Facilitator Credential. The training is offered in a hybrid model with most instruction occuring online and on campus meetings 3 Saturdays through out the fall. For more information view the INFORMATIONAL FLYER
Assessment Workshop Series Offered for CTE Teachers
CTEC is offering a series of workshops for CTE Teachers to develop valid, reliable technical skill assessments as required of all CTE Programs of Study. The workshop is required for CTE Teachers that have not yet implemented a Technical Skill Assessment Implementing Technical Skill Assessments will begin with a required session on September 28th, and an optional work session on October 19th, and a final one-on-one support session scheduled at the teacher's convenience. The goal is that all teachers will have a Technical Skill Assessment ready to implement after winter break. CTEC will cover substitute costs for CTE teachers that participate. Provides students, teachers, counselors, administrators and parents the opportunity to see the direct application of the classroom to the vast and sophisticated world of today's employers and work. Visit the Career Road Trip Website for more information and complete list of dates.
Regional Teacher Meetings
C-TEC coordinates annual Regional Teacher meetings in several program areas to allow teachers to share resources, align curriculum and discuss Advanced College Credit issues and opportunities. High school and community college instructors are included in the meeting. Current list of 2011-2012 Regional Teacher meetings. Unless otherwise notified, the meetings are held at Clackamas Community College in CC127.
A $50 Educational Incentive is available for teachers participating in meetings from 4-6pm.
